Crail House is a mid-Victorian villa to which a two storey extension was added in 1937. In 1971 it was extensively altered to form 4 self contained flats. The house is referred to locally as "The Castle" because in Mediaeval times there was indeed a Royal Castle on this site chosen no doubt for its prime location. It stands in an elevated position overlooking the sea, the May Island, The bass Rock and the picturesque harbour of Crail. The views are quite exceptional. The walled garden is huge. There are three self-contained flats available for holiday letting only. Flats 2 and 3 are rated 3 star by Visit Scotland and flat 4 is rated 4 star. Please visit our website for more information, pictures, availability, prices and how to book."
