StAnza, Scotland's International Poetry Festival

The StAnza annual poetry festival is an important and internationally-renowned Fife flagship event, a significant aspect of contemporary cultural identity inspiring visitors, communities and schools, and generating cultural tourism for Fife. StAnza offers more than 80 events in exciting and atmospheric venues ranging from a medieval undercroft to the friendly buzzing scene in the festival hub. Festival events include every kind of reading and performance – including our acclaimed Round Table events – as well as talks, panel discussions, the annual lecture and masterclass, workshops, a range of visual art exhibitions and installations, a poetry walk, music, film and drama. There are usually around 100 performers – world-class poets, other writers, musicians, film-makers, visual artists.
