Organised in partnership with the University of St Andrews, INNOVATESPACE is the latest in VisitScotland's series of public talks that explores why Space is such a growing and dynamic frontier for Scotland.

Now is the time to learn more and hear from 3 Doctors of Space who all work within different aspects of Space and will share with us, why Space is so important and how we can keep innovating to ensure that Scotland remains prominent Globally within the Space World. Perfect for anyone interested in Astronomy and Physics, Space, Satellites, Engineering, Earth Observations and more.


Look who's talking:

Dr Anne- Marie Weijmans, School of Physics & Astronomy, University of St Andrews, and Director of Shine, a Community Outreach project that explores the properties of light through science, art and music which she will talk to us about.

Dr Ciara McGrath, Researcher, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, University of Strathclyde. She works closely with the Scottish Centre for Excellence in Satellite Applications (SoXsa) who look to find space - based solutions to real world problems. In this talk Ciara will tell us about one of these solutions which has the potential to save lives around the world.

Dr Luke Daly, Researcher, School of Geographical & Earth Sciences, University of Glasgow. A planetary scientist, he is also part of the UK Fireball Network who are building a network of sky cameras across the UK as part of an integrated Global Fireball Observatory. He will share with us what we can learn from the information that is gathered from the fireball network.
