A packed programme where we’ll start the day with an interview with Fiona Hyslop MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Culture, Tourism and External Affairs before we get the most up to date economic outlook from one of the UK’s leading financial and economic experts.

We will then hear from Stephen Leckie in his capacity as Chair of the Tourism Leadership Group who will provide an update on our national Tourism Strategy TS2020 with one year left to go.  Stephen will then do the ‘big reveal’ of the future Vision and Mission of our Tourism Strategy Beyond 2020 and will outline the priority areas of focus.

Tourism is all about people and in the final session before lunch titled ‘A Human Future’ you’ll hear four different perspectives on how we can build a stronger industry for the future through our people.

Over the course of the afternoon we’ll explore topics such as improving mental health within the industry; future-proofing tourism with learnings from Glasgow’s circular economy; growing profit through data and how we can deliver better quality experiences through collaboration in our destinations.

We’ll also be inviting delegates to stay with us after conference for a networking and G & Tea experience (sampling our very own STA gin!).
