Due to a couple of call offs, some spaces have become available for the Accessible Tourism Workshop on 26th January 2016 at Rufflets Country House Hotel, St Andrews from 10:30am - 12:30pm with a networking lunch afterwards.
Speakers include Chris McCoy, Head of Equality & Diversity & Accessible Tourism at VisitScotland, Cllr. Lesley Laird, Depute Leader and Executive Spokesperson Economy and Planning at Fife Council, Chris Veitch, Accessible tourism specialist, Jan Kerr of Homelands Trust, Moira Henderson of The Rings and MSP Fergus Ewing, Minister for Business, Energy and Tourism.
A successful pilot has already been carried out in Glasgow, where 25 businesses all signed up to take part. Now each one has an access statement, staff have done their training, and each business that signed up was part of an "accessible itinerary" that VisitScotland produced and advertised free on their web-site as well as on the Glasgow Welcomes site. Accessible Tourism Fife will be offering you the same opportunity if you sign up for the project.
If you would like to attend, please email [email protected] by 9am on Monday 25th January 2016. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
