Wed 18 Sep 19

BID St Andrews won GOLD and the overall BID category at the 2019 Keep Scotland Beautiful awards on Thursday 12th September.

BID St Andrews aims to improve the aesthetic and economic environment of St Andrews Town Centre for the benefit of local business, local community and all visitors to the town. Its Clean & Green Project supports St Andrews and carries out a huge programme of works to ensure St Andrews remains beautiful all year round.

BID St Andrews’ Clean & Green Programme, delivered in partnership with St Andrews Environmental Network, along with the close collaborations with  St Andrews in Bloom, The St Andrews Men’s Shed and other local groups secured high scoring points for the town. BID St Andrews would like to thank the hard work of the Clean & Green team led by David Angus. The team work tirelessly to keep St Andrews beautiful all year round and without them, St Andrews wouldn’t shine nearly as bright. BID St Andrews also extends its thanks to the hardworking voluntary group of the St Andrews in Bloom for their continued commitment and efforts in making the town a beautiful place to live, visit and work.

"We are absolutely delighted to accept this award on behalf of the St Andrews Business Community. Without their commitment to the BID, we would be unable to maintain the investment in the Clean & Green Project. The hard work from the team ensures that we can all enjoy the benefits of living and working in a beautiful town.  Residents benefit from living in a clean environment, and businesses can benefit from an enhanced economic area stimulated by visitors returning to the town time and time again.” Jane Kennedy  BID Manager
