Business Survey: Impact of COVID-19 on Scotland’s Event Industry Supply Chain

Tue 8 Dec 20

VisitScotland’s Events Directorate is conducting a second online survey of the event industry supply chain to gather further vital information on the ongoing impact of COVID-19 on the businesses working in the sector.

The first survey of the industry supply chain was carried out in June and the results published in July provided vital information that was shared with the Scottish Government and the Event Industry Advisory Group to help inform recovery plans to date.

Since the last survey was conducted a lot has happened and it is now appropriate to re-run the survey to gather up-to-date evidence on the ongoing impact of COVID-19 on the sector so VisitScotland can continue to accurately inform the measures required to ensure Scotland’s events industry survives.

The ongoing restrictions in place to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 continue to impact upon Scotland’s events industry. We are once again keen to hear from businesses involved in the supply chain to understand these ongoing impacts to ensure the necessary measures are put in place to ongoing support the industry.

Paul Bush OBE, Director of Events

To ensure the results are an accurate reflect of the whole industry, input from all those working across in Scotland’s event sector is vital. The survey is open from today (7 December) until the 15 December. To take part in the survey, please complete this questionnaire.
