East Neuk tourism looks to winter opportunities

Mon 16 Dec 13

Although the sunshine has not completely left us, tourism businesses in the East Neuk are looking ahead to winter opportunities to attract visitors.

Andy Peddie, newly elected chair of the East Neuk Local Tourist Association, hopes that a meeting next week will spark new ideas to promote the area and extend the tourism season. Engaging with visitors before and after they visit the area is a key aspect of modern tourism and the evening will also include a presentation on the new Fife Tourism Partnership website and an introduction to social media for tourism.

Andy Peddie said, "We know that the area has a great deal to offer visitors but it is important that we have a joint approach to promoting the East Neuk.  I'm keen to see how digital communications can work better for us and also how businesses working together can bring more benefits.  The more people who come along on the night, the more ideas we can share."

Businesses are invited to come along to the Silverdyke Park caravan park in Cellardyke on Tuesday 17th September at 7pm to discuss new ideas.
