Scottish holiday parks group Abbeyford Leisure has had its commitment to customer service highlighted by a major tourism training organisation.
The company has now gained WorldHost Recognised Business status from the body whose programmes have already been used to train over 10% of Scotland's tourism workforce.
Abbeyford Leisure, which owns three award-winning holiday parks on the Fife coast, won the status after reaching the target of providing WorldHost training for over half of its staff.
The company's recognition will count towards Fife's campaign to become a WorldHost Recognised Destination, awarded to areas where 25% of businesses are WorldHost Recognised.
Supported by Fife Tourism Partnership, the training programmes are benefitting Abbeyford Leisure's staff and customers across all of its businesses.
They are Elie Holiday Park, just outside the seaside resort of Elie in Fife, St Andrews Holiday Park, and St Monans Holiday Park in the East Neuk of Fife.
Last year, Abbeyford Leisure was named among the country's top performing firms in the "London Stock Exchange 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain".
It was also celebrated as one of the top places to work in the UK as part of The Sun newspaper's Best of British initiative, ranking higher than many big firms including Tesco and Premier Inn.
All six of Abbeyford Leisure's parks offer holiday home ownership opportunities, and at their Scottish parks there is a plethora of accommodation choices including lodges with hot tubs, holiday homes with sea views, and touring caravan and tent pitches close to the beach.
Kevan Lodge, sales director for Abbeyford Leisure, said the new WorldHost recognition underlined an important aspect of the company's business philosophy:
"We are passionate about service standards, and are incredibly proud to have achieved WorldHost Recognised Business status," he said.
"When our customers see the WorldHost logo displayed at our parks, they'll know that we have made a commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for them.
"Not only does this generate a positive buzz about the service we offer, but it helps to promote our holiday parks as friendly and welcoming tourist destinations," added Kevan.
