First Minister confirms provisional date for Scotland moving to level 0

Scotland's First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed that all parts of Scotland should move to level 0 on 19th July, three weeks later than had been planned.

Addressing the Scottish Parliament; she also announced: “Our assessment - on balance and assuming we meet the necessary conditions on vaccination and harm reduction - is that it would be possible and proportionate to lift the major remaining legal restrictions on 9 Aug”.

Ms Sturgeon also announced the outcome of the Scottish Government's physical distancing review, confirming that on 19th July this will be reduced to 0m outdoors and 1m indoors; on 9 August all physical distancing restrictions will be lifted.

Also, from Monday, suppliers of wedding services will no longer be counted as guests and that those accompanying the bride and groom will not be required to wear face coverings.
