Get set...for tourism opening

Thu 8 Apr 21

As tourism businesses get ready to open their doors again later this month, we're starting to see increased traffic to our consumer website - - as people start planning days out and staycations. All great news!

It's so important to be visible to your customers, so now is the perfect time to be updating your business listings.

Things to think about:

  • Have I updated my listing on - opening hours, prices, images, any pre-booking requirement, covid restrictions, safety measures in place etc. The more information you can add, the better.
  • To help you do this check out our 'How to update my business listing' handy guide.
  • Do I link to from my business website? Visitors want to know what else there is to see and do in the area and our website includes listings of things to do, what's on as well as interesting blogs.
  • There's plenty inspiring Fife videos to share from our YouTube channel
  • Have you completed the 'Good to Go' scheme? If so, display this clearly for visitors online. If you are already Good To Go, and your business welcomes international travellers, you can update your application to include the Safe Travels stamp from the World Travel & Tourism Council.
  • Follow our social media channels @welcometofife and share inspiring content from your own channels by tagging us and using the hashtag #loveFife
  • Needing images to help you promote Fife & your business? Browse our online image gallery or sign up to Visitcotland's Digital Media Library.
  • If you have a VisitScotland listing...has this been updated? Find out more here
  • Check out the Free online listings guide from ETAG.
