The Fife Tourism Partnership are delighted to once again host #GetYerKiltOn; an exciting social media campaign to promote and celebrate St Andrew’s Day which takes place on the 30th of November.
Last year, people from all over the world shared photographs of themselves wearing kilts in order to showcase the rich culture, heritage and hospitality, of not only Fife, but the whole of Scotland.
This year’s campaign will begin on Friday the 1st of November 2019 and The Fife Tourism Partnership are appealing to Fife’s community to get behind the exciting initiative by showing why Scotland is such a fantastic place to visit.
Local businesses, event organisers and community groups in Fife are being encouraged to get involved by hosting Scottish-themed events, workshops, window displays, activities, or promotions over the St Andrew’s Day weekend.
If you, as a local business or group, are interested in hosting any type of activity for St Andrew’s Day this year, the Fife Tourism Partnership will be glad to post you a #GetYerKiltOn business pack which will provide you with more information, marketing materials to use in your space and instructions on how to get involved.
The Fife Tourism Partnership will promote all planned St Andrew's Day activity on www.welcometofife.com once the campaign commences on the 1st of November.
Some of last year’s campaign participants and supporters included Scottish Cyclist Mark Beaumont, comedian Craig Hill, Grammy-Award winning singer Huey Lewis, The Fife Flyers and the Kilted Yogis.
The Fife Tourism Partnership will be running a competition alongside the campaign and would be very grateful if any Fife business would like to participate by kindly donating a prize. If you are interested in offering a prize or an experience for the competition winner, please contact [email protected]. Details of the competition will be shared on social media and on www.welcometofife.com.
The Fife Tourism Partnership invite you to take part this year, have some fun and help spread the word. Let’s get together, celebrate our warm hospitality and help to make Scotland’s National Day special!
To request a business pack, please contact [email protected] stating your name, organisation and address.
The campaign will go live on Friday the 1st of November.
