Has your business embraced sustainability? If so, get in touch!

The Fife Council Tourism Team are currently looking for examples of businesses in the area that have embraced sustainability and/or responsible tourism practices. Can you help? Examples of what we are looking for include:

  • Innovative ideas around reducing waste
  • Use of local food and drink
  • Providing authentic visitor experiences that celebrate and conserve heritage and culture
  • Protecting natural environments and wildlife
  • Creating opportunities for employment or volunteering / developing young people
  • Use of 'green energy' e.g wind, solar panels
  • Recycling
  • Promoting accessibility

This is not an exhaustive list - you may have ideas of your own! We would like to use some local examples in our promotions, both through Welcome of Fife and to businesses through the Fife Tourism Partnership. We are also developing a sustainability toolkit for local tourism businesses and would like to include some case studies.
