St Andrews are looking for a BID Project Coordinator

St Andrews Business Improvement District (BID) Steering Group has been awarded funding by the Scottish Government & Fife Council to develop a Business Improvement District (BID) for St Andrews.

A project co-coordinator is sought to fill this post, experienced in developing and delivering a fixed term project to St Andrews business users.

The role of the coordinator will be to deliver the BID programme of work, following due process and develop a supported BID Business Plan that local businesses will be balloted on in May 2015. The St Andrews BID is to be initially centred on all the local businessin and around St Andrews (exact boundaries yet to be defined).

The BID is a means by which local businesses can work together, share risks and costs and make improvements to their trading environment, creating new platforms for growth and strengthening the local economy. In conjunction, the BID also gives businesses a voice in the future development and direction of their business community. A BID offers community led regeneration rooted in the community.

The preferred candidate will have frontline experience of managing local/national operations, have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be able to demonstrate delivery of customer service related projects. You will need to show a real passion for making things happen. This fixed term post will require you to work closely with stakeholders at all levels, e.g. local businesses, Fife Council, Police Scotland, the BID Steering Group and BIDs Scotland - the latter being the national umbrella organisation, supporting all Scottish BID projects.

Remuneration: £20 per hour approx. 20 hours per week.
Fixed Term: From mid Apr 2014 to 30 June 2015 (15 months).
