Wed 27 Jan 21

A new training initiative to help businesses in the food and drink sector has launched, with significant investment from the Scottish Government.

A supplier development programme has been high on the agenda since launching the Home Advantage strategy in 2018 and is a key action in the Scotland Food & Drink Partnership’s £5m Recovery Plan, supported by Scottish Government.

The Academy is a unique, market-focused, and commercially orientated training programme that will help Scottish food and drink businesses - at every stage of their growth journey - sell themselves, build their brands and thrive in grocery and foodservice markets.

Three structured training programmes which have been designed and curated by a team of food and drink industry experts to enable real and sustainable business growth have launched.

Underpinned by tailored one-to-one support, each programme matches the needs of the business with appropriate specialists and mentors offering the expertise needed to give businesses the extra edge.
