Regional Only in Scotland films

Fri 7 Aug 20

This week, VisitScotland launched the first in their series of new regional films encouraging people living in Scotland to explore Scotland's regions. These films follow on the heels of the successful marketing campaign launched on 15 July welcoming back Scottish tourism and reminding us what a beautiful country we have right on our doorsteps.

The series of regional films will be featured on VisitScotland's YouTube Channel and on the regional destination pages on VisitScotland.com. These new films will target people in Scotland living outside the featured region in order to encourage them to visit.

As well as paid promotion across the VisitScotland social media channels and YouTube, they'll also be adapting the videos for use in travel trade activity.

The first in the series of films includes:

The Kingdom of Fife

Edinburgh & the Lothians

Loch Lomond, The Trossachs, Stirling & Forth Valley

Greater Glasgow and The Clyde Valley

With the remaining regional films being released over the course of this month.

Their marketing activity will take a phased approached, which puts the safety of staff, communities and visitors at the heart of what we do. You can find out more about this on the marketing section.

The tourism industry in Scotland has been devastated by coronavirus and we're urging people to give their well-being a boost by rediscovering their own country. Find out about how you can get involved as part of the #Take5ForTourism initiative.

Share the love

VisitScotland have made the films available for you to access and share with your visitors to shine a spotlight on your region. If you would like to access these, they're available to share from the YouTube channel, and you can also download them from the Digital Media Library.

Please also use #OnlyInScotland and #Take5forTourism when posting and join in the conversation online.
