Dot Smith of Fife Council’s Economic Development Team is in discussions with the organisers of Scotland’s Speciality Food Show which is due to take place as a face to face Tradeshow between 24-26 January 2021; https://www.scotlandsspecialityfoodshow.com/. Over 150 companies exhibit thousands of products to around 1000 dedicated food buyers of delis, farm shops, speciality food retailers and food hall buyers. It is co-located with Scotland’s largest trade fair for the gift sector hosting an additional 450 exhibitors and 3000 buyers. (NOTE; These numbers will be likely to change as social distancing measures will be put in place for exhibitors and visitors)
The tradeshow was scheduled to take place in Glasgow SEC, however following recent discussions the likelihood is, that the show will be relocated to either Ingliston, Edinburgh or P&J Live, Aberdeen, however awaiting confirmation of this.
The Trade Development Programme supported a number of businesses attending the show in January 2020 (https://www.businessgatewayfife.com/news/support-helps-fife-businesses-attend-speciality-food-show), therefore Dot is looking to potentially co-ordinate a cluster of shell scheme stands in January 2021, to showcase Fife’s food and drink producers/companies.
The stand space will likely be between 2m x 1.5m or 2m x 2m per company. You (the company) will be responsible for the set-up, dressing and clear up of the stand. You will also be required to arrange that the stand is manned throughout the show. Costs have not yet been agreed as Dot is keen to determine the level of interest in this show, which will allow further discussion with the organisers regards stand costs. There will be a cost in attending the show, should you be interested in exhibiting, however Dot will be looking to arrange and co-ordinate a limited number of spaces and support companies as part of the Trade Development Programme, should there be enough interest.
If this show is of interest to you can you please contact Dot at [email protected] by Wednesday 23rd September 2020.
