The St Andrews Bed & Breakfast Association would like to invite all St Andrews' tourism businesses to a meeting on the 12th May at 1pm at the Library rooms.
The Fife Tourism Partnership has for a number of years had local tourism associations in all other areas of Fife. These meetings are for all sectors of tourism and meet regularly to discuss current tourism activity, initiatives, future events and so forth.
Our B & B Association would like to arrange a tourism meeting to discuss the setup of such an organization in St Andrews. It will be an open meeting once a quarter where all relevant groups such as the BID , Visit Scotland, Fife Tourism partnership, Business gateway will be invited to come and discuss with the businesses of St Andrews what is happening to benefit their businesses in St Andrews and for the St Andrews businesses to have an open forum for discussion. It will also create the opportunity for St Andrews to work with the other LTA'S . Peter Wilson, vice chair of the Dunfermline LTA will be attending to give details of how the Dunfermline LTA works and the benefits they have experienced from these regular meetings and projects that have ensued as a result of working together.
"Our association members are excited about hosting this initial meeting to explore a fantastic opportunity to enhance and grow our tourism industry and strengthen the St Andrews economy through ongoing community dialogue with all our local participants whether individuals and/or groups." Jerry Beaulier , Chair St Andrews B&B Association
