Tourism Businesses – Getting Ready for the New Season

Developing tourism and increasing visitor numbers to the East Neuk area will be the focus of a Visit East Neuk pre-tourist season meeting on Wednesday, Feb.20 at Bowhouse, by St. Monans.

The meeting, which will run from 6:45 to 9:30 (approx.), is open to any and all businesses which interact with visitors to the East Neuk region of Fife.  The charge of £10 per person, to be paid on the night, will include teas/coffees, a buffet and a year’s membership of Visit East Neuk.

The primary function of Visit East Neuk – the new name for the East Neuk Local Tourism Association - is to promote tourism for the whole of the East Neuk.Its aim is to get everyone working together for the benefit of all East Neuk attractions/activity venues, retail, accommodation and food providers.

Guest speakers will make short presentations on a range of topics, including how social media helps tourist-facing businesses; tourism development improvements underway; 2020-the Year of Coast and Water; the work of the Fife Tourism Partnership; the contribution Bowhouse is making to the East Neuk area; and more.
