The Young Women in Tourism Awards is one of the first legacy projects announced for Scotland’s Year of Young People. Those aged 30 and under on January 1st 2019 will be eligible to apply for the awards with each award winner receiving a package of support from WIT, as well as an opportunity to take part in bespoke placements with industry leaders. The awards are the next step in continuing to support our emerging leaders and aim to recognise young women who are working or studying within the tourism sector in Scotland.
For categories 1 – 3, the nominated female must be 30 years or younger on 1 Jan 2019, and must be working or studying in Scotland, in fields relevant to the tourism sector. For category 4, the nominated female must be 18 years or older on 1 Jan 2019, and must be studying in Scotland, in fields relevant to the tourism sector. Applicants must have a keen interest in contributing to the tourism sector as a whole, and their commitment must be demonstrated within the application process.
Entries must include a completed entry form or video file with the details requested, and information to explain why you should win. Please consider the judging criteria given to help you provide suitable information. Please assume that the judges know nothing about you, your role or your company. You can send supporting information in addition to the entry form. Please note, large video files are unlikely to get through, so please either send your video application using a Dropbox or Wetransfer link, or similar platform.
Please send your applications to firstname.lastname@example.org
A shortlist for each category will be judged by the Women in Tourism board members, and a representative from the category sponsor.
