Partnership

The Fife Tourism Partnership was set up in 2010 after consultation with the tourism sector in Fife. Its Executive Board consists of representatives from the public and private sectors, along with the Chair of the Local Tourist Associations collaborative group, VisitScotland, Fife Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Small businesses.

The Fife Tourism Partnership is responsible for:

  • Setting the tourism priorities for Fife
  • Overseeing the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of the business-led 2014-2024 Fife Tourism Strategy
  • Engaging  and lobbying on behalf of the tourism sector in Fife within the national tourism context
  • Driving the tourist economy through developing a quality product in Fife
  • Supporting the Local Tourist Associations to help them develop new products that can be taken to market through Welcome to Fife initiatives or through VisitScotland
  • Encouraging people working in the industry to develop their skills and to promote tourism as a positive career choice

The Fife Tourism Partnership Board is underpinned by six Local Tourist Associations whose role is to collaborate with businesses in their area to deliver and develop local tourism products including on arrival information and content for the promotion through WelcometoFife (Consumer facing) initiatives in order to grow Fife’s market share and tourism value.

In terms of customer service, we work with VisitScotland to carryout visitor satisfaction surveys every two years and encourage businesses to undertake their own customer feedback system. (We also work with training providers to help them with this).
