Fife Tourism Skills toolkit

In a post-pandemic world, tourism and hospitality businesses are finding it difficult to fill vacancies and to attract and retain the right people. Fife Council has led on the formation of a Tourism Skills Group to look at how we can address this at a local level. Partners including Fife Council, Skills Development Scotland, Developing the Young Workforce, Fife College, Springboard, and local industry representatives are working together to encourage young people to make tourism their career of choice, to ensure prospective employees have the right skills and knowledge to enter the industry, and that there are opportunities to upskill existing staff. This toolkit has been developed for local tourism and hospitality businesses, to signpost to available support, and to demonstrate how you can get involved in inspiring the next generation.
